MEXICO CITY

"IF YOU WANNA KNOW, I LIKE AN OUT OF TOWN GIRL"

Mexico City with Justin Bieber

Hola everyone!! Sorry for being MIA, I got really sick after my past trip and was crazy busy with my job so I've been a little out of commission, anyways no more excuses!

As you probably saw on my Instagram and social media feeds, I had the opportunity to spend a few days in Mexico City over President's Day Weekend.  My girlfriend had this brilliant idea to see Justin Bieber in Mexico City, so we booked a spontaneous trip.  Talk about being Bielbers!!  Killing two birds with one stone, Mexico City and Justin Bieber were on my bucket list.

My girlfriends and I stayed in 'Polanco' which is the cutest neighborhood.  I highly recommend staying in this area if you have never been.  Great location with lots of shops, bars, and restaurants, ALL within walking distance.  The four of us stayed a the W which we loved, but other options on the same street were the JW Marriott and Intercontinental which looked pretty nice as well.

Mexico City is full of sight seeing, art and history, however the food scene and nightlife took me by surprise.  I had no idea Mexico City has such a big food scene. Everywhere we popped into had great decor, food, and service.  Not to mention it was super inexpensive which I'm sure my bank account appreciated.  Below are some places we checked out and loved.

Contramar and their tuna tostadas are a must btw!! I almost didn't make our reservation because I was too hungover from night 1 (I blame tequila and my light weight ass) but my friend who had been before told me I would miss out, so I got it together.  Other beautiful bars with amazing drinks and decor which aren't pictured are: Gin Gin, Republica, and Dixon.  The vibes at all 3 are so trendy chic!

As for the fashion in Mexico City, I couldn't have been more inspired.  The men and women are so beautiful here and they are dressed up at all times.  I definitely regretted not packing dressier clothes.  Classy, Sophisticated and Chic, is how I would describe their style in Mexico City.  I noticed a lot of women rocking neutral tones, pieced together with really cute fitted blazers.  Not just typical work blazers, blazers with unique style, flair and color.  My styles typically more trendy and I rock too much black on a daily, but these looks definitely inspired me to go the classic chic route once in awhile because it looks so elegant and timeless.

Oh and of course we can't forget Justin Bieber...

This was my first time experiencing a concert in another country and I must say it was well worth the effort.  We had an amazing time and soaked in the fact we were singing along with Spanish teenagers who most likely didn't understand the lyrics.  It was moving to see his fan base outside the U.S.  Proves even more how music brings people together.

"Cause all around the world they're no different than us..."
